Superintendent

It is truly an honor to serve as Superintendent of Ramirez Common School District and Principal of Ramirez Elementary School. I am from Falfurrias, Texas and graduated from Falfurrias High School in 1986. I began my college career at Texas A&I University in the Fall of 1986. I studied Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Reading. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in August of 1992.

I began my teaching career at Kingsville I.S.D. as a 6th grade ELA teacher at Gillett Middle School but soon moved to Seguin, Texas where I taught 4th-6th grade Chapter I. In July of 1997, I moved back to Kingsville, Texas and went back to work for Kingsville I.S.D. I worked as a 1st grade teacher at Lamar Elementary School from 1997 to 2005. In June 2005, I accepted a position as the Kingsville ISD 504/Reading Facilitator. I also served as the district dyslexia teacher during this time. In 2006, I added Military Liaison to my job responsibilities with KISD.

During the fall of 2008, I accepted a position as Principal with Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco ISD. I worked in BB-PB ISD for a total of 13 years until July of 2021. I was recruited to work as a principal with Midland ISD for the 2021-2022 school year. However, I returned to South Texas after accepting a position with Ramirez Common School District.

I am currently employed as the Superintendent of Ramirez Common School District and Principal of Ramirez Elementary School. My husband is the Area Supervisor for Center Point Energy. Between the both of us, we have 7 children and 15 grandchildren. Much of our time revolves around family activities including attending our grandchildren’s sporting events, assisting them in raising livestock show animals, working cattle, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
